TYPES OF LOFT CONVERSION

DORMER LOFT CONVERSION
Dormer loft conversions are the most popular type of loft conversion, as they are the best value for money and provide practical ceiling height. This type of loft conversion is a structural extension where part of the existing roof is removed, and a box frame structure is built with a flat or sloping roof.

VELUX LOFT CONVERSION (ROOF LIGHT)
Velux loft conversions are also referred to as roof light conversions. This is a straightforward loft conversion for lofts that already offer enough space for purpose. With this type of conversion the roofline is unaltered, as the Velux windows are installed along the existing angle of the roof.

HIP TO GABLE LOFT CONVERSION
Hip-to-gable loft conversions are a smart and practical solution for houses with a hipped roof and limited loft space to convert. This type of loft conversion involves a structural extension of the roofline to the new gable wall. Providing more space to convert into a Velux, Dormer or Cottage Dormer loft.

COTTAGE DORMER LOFT CONVERSION
Cottage dormer loft conversions either have a hipped or gable roof and a popular choice due to the aesthetically pleasing design. This type of loft conversion is often used to convert a bungalow or a hipped roof but can be designed to fit all house styles.

MANSARD LOFT CONVERSION
Mansard loft conversions are often used to convert terraced houses in urban areas and provides almost as much head ceiling height as a dormer conversion. With this type of conversion, the roof is altered to create a flat roof and 72-degree sloping wall.
L-SHAPED LOFT CONVERSION
L-shaped loft conversions are similar to a dormer loft conversion, but with the added benefit of more space. This type of loft conversion is suited to Victorian properties, where the kitchen and bathroom are located to the rear of the property.
