ABOUT HIP-TO-GABLE LOFT CONVERSIONS
Hip to gable loft conversions are a smart solution for houses with a slopping side roof (the hip) and limited loft space.
With this type of loft conversion, the side of the roof is removed and the roofline is extended to meet the new gable wall, creating a much larger loft area and providing extra space for the staircase.

Hip-to-gable loft conversions are usually designed to include Velux windows or a full width dormer extension. This make best use of the newly created loft space and allows for a spacious master bedroom, en-suite and built in wardrobes.
Hip-to-gable loft conversions normally require planning permissions, due to the large changes to the roof shape and structure.
Estimated build time 6-8 weeks.
