Hip to gable loft conversions are a smart solution for houses with a slopping side roof (the hip) and limited loft space.
With this type of loft conversion, the side of the roof is removed, and the roofline is extended to meet the new gable wall, creating a much larger loft area and giving extra space for the staircase.

This in turn allows for either a Velux conversion or a full width dormer extension, which makes the best use of the newly created loft space, and allows for a spacious master bedroom, en-suite and built in wardrobes.
As this type of loft conversion changes the outline of the roof, so planning permissions will be required. Build time may be 6-8 weeks.
